SORMTA

Sex Offender Registration,
Monitoring, Tracking and Apprehension


SORMTA is a specialized unit within the Crow BIA/Tribal Police Department.
Mission

"The S.O.R.N.A. Program oversees the Crow Tribe of Montana’s Sex Offender Registry Notification Act (S.O.R.N.A.) compliance. The S.O.R.N.A. Department entails maintaining accurate records, conducting investigations, and coordinating interagency efforts. By ensuring strict adherence to S.O.R.N.A. regulations and fostering community safety, the S.O.R.N.A. Department plays a vital role in the tribe's security and well-being. By providing community awareness of all sexual offenders in the community and tracking and monitoring registered sex offenders on the Crow Reservation."
