DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION


OUR PHILOSOPHY

The Crow Nation's Department of Education is comprised of three different programs that work together to fund individuals that are interested in obtaining a college degree or training certificate. The Education Department is committed to funding all enrolled Crow students that meet the criteria. Assisting in obtaining ones educational dreams in our fundamental goal.

HIGHER EDUCATION


Crow Tribe Higher Education Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students who plan on attending a 2 or 4 year accredited institution.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be an enrolled member of the Crow Tribe.
  • Possess a High School diploma and/or HISET (GED) (if never attended college)
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university, including online classes
  • Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Must carry a minimum of 12 credits and/or
  • Must be enrolled in 9 credit hours if taking ONLINE courses
  • Must have a 2.0 GPA on a recent OFFICIAL COLLEGE transcript (if attended)
  • Must be receiving Federal Pell Grant
  • Must have an UNMET NEED on Financial Needs Analysis
  • Must submit a completed scholarship application on or before the deadline date April 4th, 2025.

​Funding is based on the student's unmet needs.

AVT-JOB PLACEMENT AND TRAINING


Provides Financial assistance to eligible students attending institutions, apprenticeship programs and on-the-job training courses, which do not exceed twenty four months in length. The exception of Nurses training that may not exceed thirty six months.

Qualifications are:
*Students must be enrolled members of the Crow Tribe
*Possess a High School Diploma or GED
*Show financial need
*Live on or near the reservation
*Must be unemployed or underemployed


Funding is based on the students unmet needs provided by the Financial Aid office.

AVT/DE provides funding to students attending Salish Kootenai college, United Tribes College, LBHC and MSU Vo- Tech, Vocational & Technical Schools
