October 3, 2017 - Crow Agency, MT
Due to the FY 18 annual budget not being passed and agreed upon between the Legislative and Executive branches, the Crow Tribe Executive Branch has announced a Government Shutdown effective October 1.
Regular daily activities for the Crow Tribe Executive branch will not be in operation until the passage of the FY 18 budget.
“The Legislature has begun work on a budget,” Chairman Alvin “AJ” Not Afraid stated. “It is my hope that the Legislature will complete its work quickly, and I will continue to work with them to ensure that a responsible budget is passed.”
Essential Departments and operations critical to the protection of lives and safety of our People will maintain normal operating hours will maintain normal operating hours. These Departments include:

¨ Tribal Law Enforcement/Security
¨ SORNA
¨ IT Department
¨ Tribal Utilities (Water/Sewer)
¨ Fish & Game
¨ All Tribal C-Stores
¨ Finance Department
¨ Legal Department
¨ Grants/Contracts/Planning
¨ Office of the CEO
¨ TERO & Human Resources Department
¨ Communications Department
